Hopefully that title was enough to intrigue you! It will be a short post today; I still have lots of homework to do and an astronomy test tomorrow (wish me luck, I will really need it!) Speaking of random, the weather here has been crazily random. Days of sunshine and record setting high temperatures are followed by days of extreme wind, snow, or dust storm alerts (over the past two days, I've received three alerts on my phone). Actually, now that I think of it, the weather might not be that random: summer, snow, repeat! Below is a photo of Garden of the Gods that I took Sunday. It was a gorgeous day and no matter how many times I go, I never tire of visiting!

After Garden of the Gods, I went to Old Colorado City. I love all the cute little shops, especially Willy's British Emporium. I had to stop to check out their new location and buy a London keychain to replace the one that got stolen along with my cell phone and jacket (which got recovered), debit card, car keys, Otter Box, sunglasses, skating pants, and skating socks. Sadly, I already lost one of the charms, but it still puts me in a very British mood! The store is opening a tea room soon, which I'll probably have to check out!
Now, here are some photos of my recent culinary successes:

I'm hooked on Chocolate Covered Katie's carrot cake sandwiches. So much so that I've made it for lunch three times in the past six days!

I'm also addicted to salads with steamed veggies and pesto.

When a friend slept over last week, we made a variant of cottage cheese tortilla pizzas. Instead of using sweet potatoes, we used a pumpkin tomato sauce. We both considered it a success!

I got up super early (think 5 AM) yesterday to drive someone to the airport. Therefore, I finally had enough time before astronomy lecture to make The Oatmeal Artist's Elvis Oatcake Stack. Though I did not succeed in making a perfect pancake shape, they were delicious.
Last random side note: Coldplay's new album comes out in exactly two months! I'm excited to have more British music to put on my transatlantic flight playlist, (not that I need any more- I already have eight hours and twenty-five minutes of Coldplay alone on my iphone!)
